The sun might not be shining all the time but the garden at the moment is full of warm sunny yellows that brighten even the dullest days.
I knitted a little mauve sheep yesterday and intended to name her 'Lilac'. But with so many yellow blooms around the garden I have made her a tiny coat with flowers to match the yellow pimpernel plant which seems to be her favourite food.
A stroll around the garden and there is no escaping yellow azaleas, many of which are richly perfumed.
The garish tangerines are softened by the mellower butters and creams.
Follow any grassy path and you'll find more sunny shades.
It can be difficult to walk along the narrow paths but as soon as the azaleas have faded everything will get a good prune.
And as for Lilac the lamb... I think she's eaten her fill of yellow flowers for one day don't you!
If you knit a little sheep using the pattern in my sidebar, and post a picture of it on your blog, I'd love to see it. Just let me know and I will put a link to it in my next post.
Until next time,
Eli
Eli, she is gorgeous and so is the garden. In my garden the yellows and bright greens of early spring are followed by pinks and then the mauves and purples of lilacs and violets and all the others. I'll try to get a little sheep made today or tomorrow and put her on my blog - I'll let you know.

Hi Eli
The azaleas in your garden are outstanding. We don't have many yellow or tangerine ones here but I know the secent is wonderful. Your little sheep is just the cutest thing ever. I don'tknow how you manage to make things as small as that! You are a very talented knitter. Hope you're having a good week.
Hugs, Rhondi

Dear Eli,
Your mauve sheep is so adorable. I love her sweet face and her coat with yellow flowers is darling. I am so smitten with your sheep!
What a beautiful garden you have dear Eli! You live in such a beautiful place! I love all the yellows, oranges, butter and creams! I am sure you and your husband enjoy spending time amongst all the blooms!
Thank you for your sweet comment. I love how we share the same flowers. It is my dream to have my garden like an English cottage garden! I am so glad you told me how to dry hydrangeas! I now realize, in the past, I have cut them way to soon, as they would never dry, but shrivel as you said.
Love, Paula
