My days have been spent away from my computer recently because here at flutterby patch storm clouds have been gathering as cruel winds strip the last leaves from the trees.
As always the autumnal colours have been wonderful.
But for my son and his fiancee the shades have looked less than vibrant as the little house they were buying is no longer to be theirs. Sadly a person with a much bigger stash of cash than they had has snatched it from them.
And so their search for the perfect little place to make their own begins all over again.
Unfortunately in autumn just asthe leaves fall so do the number of new properties being put up for sale.
But we all remain hopeful that somewhere ......
there is a perfect little house just waiting to be found.
Until next time,
Eli
What beautiful photos and charming couple!
I hope the young couple find their home soon!

Dear Blog friend,
I too was sorry to hear that they no longer have their little house. Tell them not to loose heart...there is a "little house" out there for them somewhere. They need to make a "dream book" ~ a book of blank pages that they can paste pictures of their dreams in ~ they must find a photo or magazine picture of what they are looking for and paste it into the book along with any other "dreams" they may have. And they can look at it daily!! They must keep their dreams in front of them believe that they will come true! until later...Vicki over at "My Favorite Things"
P.S. Eli I do love your blog and check regularly to "see" what you have!!

I hope your son and fiancee find their 'perfect' house soon. I bet they find one even better than the one they lost. I love your little leaf people in their autumn costumes!

Dear Eli,
Your photos are just beautiful! The autumnal colors are glorious, and stand out beautifully against those ominous storm clouds! I am so sorry to hear of your son and his fiancee losing the house they were going to purchase. I am sure the Lord has something even better in store for them! Your nature people are so darling! You always amaze me with your creativity.
Love, Paula

Oh Eli! Your poor son and his fiancee! Ten years ago when my husband and I were trying to buy a house we lost more than one by similar circumstances. Eventually we did find "our true home" and now looking back I am so thankful the other properties did not work out. I'm sure the same will occur for them although the saddness and frustration they are feeling now are so very real. I will keep them in my thoughts...

Oh Eli, I am really sorry to hear that bad news about your son. Fingers crossed that an EVEN more beautiful home will be theirs soon.
The little couple you made from leaves and hips is absolutely gorgeous. What a wonderful imagination you have.
I was thinking about you yesterday as I cut back the last of the perennials and did a garden clean up.
Lets hope that by the time the first snowdrops raise their little heads your son and his fiance have found a new house. Thinking of you, Carol xox
